Data Collection

Colpan does not collect any personal data.

No user information is collected
No telemetry or analytics data is sent
No cookies or tracking technologies are used
No usage statistics are recorded

Your Files

All file operations are performed entirely locally:

Your files are never sent to any server
Indexes are stored only on your computer
Search results never leave your device
PDF conversions are performed locally

AI Query Builder

The application includes an optional AI Query Builder feature:

When this feature is used, only the query description you type (e.g., “2023 rental agreements”) is sent to an AI API
File contents or file names are never sent
The query text is not stored after the AI response is received
Using this feature is entirely optional; you can write your own queries manually

Data Storage

The application stores only the data necessary for its operation locally:

Application settings
Profile configurations
Directory indexes
Window size and position preferences

All this data remains on your computer and is never transmitted anywhere.

Third-Party Services

Colpan uses a third-party API service only for the AI Query Builder feature. This service:

Is called only when the feature is actively used
Has no access to file contents
Processes only the query description entered by the user

Children’s Privacy

The application does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 years of age.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated. Significant changes will be announced through the application or on our website.
